October will be a month of transitions for Agnus Dei Ministries. The primary change right now is that our gatherings for worship will no longer be on Sunday mornings at the location on Old Street.
Beginning on October 19, 2019, we would love for you to join us as we launch our dinner church gathering that will be on Saturday nights. We seek to build community. In order to build community, one must first build relationships, and in order to do that, people actually have to hang out together. We want to foster an environment that builds community under Christ, and we will do that in a variety of ways starting with dinner church.
Dinner church will start off by meeting in members' homes, so please contact the church for the location, if you want to join us. And we would LOVE for you to join us! Doors will open at 4 pm for fellowship and set-up. Then from 5pm-6pm, we will have a potluck dinner and gather over food. (If you feed them, they will come, right?!) Then, starting at 6pm, we will have a simple communion and worship service followed by a lesson/sermon. The lesson portion will be a teaching and discussion format in order to foster discipleship and interaction. We are also kid-friendly and will have activities for kids that promote learning about God.
Please excuse us as we spend the next couple of months updating and changing things over. We also have some NEW things coming. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information! We are excited as our ministries are evolving and growing! In addition to dinner church, we would love to see you at one of our other gatherings, such as Habits of the Mind book club or The Creative Sessions group. These groups are open to all!
